Digital Moment and Microsoft TEALS Join Forces to Empower Students in Technology Education

Montreal, June 24, 2023 — Digital Moment, a leading non-profit digital education organization in Canada, has announced a new partnership with Microsoft's Technology Education and Learning Support (TEALS) Program. This exciting collaboration will enhance Digital Moment's mission to provide accessible, high-quality digital skills education to Canadian students.

TEALS, an initiative driven by Microsoft Philanthropies, is dedicated to increasing access to computer science education in schools across the globe, with a focus on underrepresented communities. The program pairs technology professionals with classroom teachers to co-teach computer science courses, providing students with real-world industry knowledge and skills.

Through this partnership, Digital Moment will work with TEALS to expand its offerings to Canadian schools, reaching more students and educators across the country. Commencing in the Greater Vancouver region, the collaboration will provide access to Microsoft's industry-leading resources and expertise, including software and curriculum, to enhance Digital Moment's educational programs.

"We are thrilled to partner with Microsoft's TEALS Program and to continue to make a significant impact on the future of digital education in Canada," said Kate Arthur, Founder and CEO of Digital Moment. “This collaboration will enable us to reach even more students and provide them with the essential digital skills they need to succeed in today's world."

"We are excited to embark on this new partnership with Digital Moment to amplify our impact in Canada," said Anupama Shekhar, Skills and Education Director at Microsoft Philanthropies. "Digital Moment’s wealth of knowledge in the Canadian education landscape, combined with their dedication to supporting youth and communities through digital education, will accelerate our work to bring equitable access to computer science education to students."

This partnership reflects both organizations' commitment to empowering the next generation of technology professionals and bridging the digital divide. By working together, Digital Moment and TEALS will help create a brighter future for Canadian students.
